Veteran actress Grace Oyin-Adejobi, popularly known as Iya Osgobo, has shown off her dance skills to celebrate her 93rd birthday.
Actress Toyin Adegbola who visited the aged movie star at her home, went live on Instagram on Tuesday to capture moments from the event.
In the video, the actress and two other women are seen praying for Iya Osogbo. In another video, the celebrant could be seen dancing with the women who cheered her on.
With a grateful heart, Iya Osogbo lifted her voice in thanksgiving, bowing her head as she expressed gratitude to God.
An old video of Toyin and Iya Osogbo celebrating the latter’s 92nd birthday was also posted on Instagram to mark her milestone age.
In the video, Toyin, also known as Toyin Tomato and other celebrites like Ayoni Alalubosa, Rukuyat Lawal and Olaiya Aderupoko joined Grace in giving thanks to God.
Iya Osogbo is the widow of the late Yoruba actor Oyin Adejobi who died in 2000.
During an appearance on a radio magazine programme on Space 90.1FM, Parrot Xtra Hour on Radio, anchored by Olayinka Agboola in Ibadan, Oyo State in 2020, Iya Osogbo said she started her acting career some 67 years ago.
She noted that she had already made her name before she acted in the movie Eran Iya Osogbo contrary to beliefs.
Iya Osogbo said she met her late husband Oyin Adejobi in her youthful days. They attended same school and lived on the same street.
She said that apart from the death of her husband, the lowest point in her life was when her fourth child a female died.
However, her happiest moment was when she gave birth to her first child a boy in 1954.
