Nollywood actor and producer Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele, has received the YouTube Gold Creator Award after his channel surpassed one million subscribers.
The actor shared photos of himself with the award plaque on Instagram, describing it as a symbol of dedication, consistency and the support he has received from his audience over the years.
He wrote, “From zero to 1 million subscribers.
“The YouTube Gold Creator Award is finally home—a symbol of dedication, consistency, and the incredible community that stood by me every step of the way.
“To every subscriber, viewer, supporter, and believer in ITELEDICON STUDIO’s vision, thank you for being part of this remarkable journey. A special thank you to YouTube for this recognition.
“This milestone is not the destination; it’s the beginning of an even greater chapter.
“We rise together”.
The milestone adds to a series of achievements for the actor in recent months.
Earlier this year, Itele announced the acquisition of a house in Lekki, describing it as the start of a new chapter in his life. He also bought two new cars ahead of his birthday, saying they were gifts to himself.
In January, his movie Koleoso crossed 100 million views on YouTube, making it the first Nollywood title and the first African movie title to reach the mark on the platform. The achievement drew congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues across the film industry.
Koleoso, a Yoruba language fantasy thriller, has been widely credited with expanding the reach of Nollywood content on YouTube and highlighting the growing role of digital platforms in film distribution.
The latest recognition from YouTube further adds to Itele’s growing success as a filmmaker and content creator.
