I didn’t turn to cat during DSS raid – Sunday Igboho

Sunday Igboho Adeyemo

Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho has debunked claims that he turned into a cat to escape arrest when operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) invaded his Ibadan home on July 1, 2021.

Several persons were killed during the raid, others were arrested but Sunday Igboho narrowly escaped.

The Yoruba Nation agitator told PUNCH that he was rearing cats and that was why several cats were killed during the attack.

He said, “I was rearing cats as pets and I had many of them in my house. So, anything or movement attracted sporadic gunshots.”

“My God and providence put (ex-President Muhammadu) Buhari to shame with the lawless invasion of my home because they all failed to achieve what they came for. I didn’t turn into a cat to escape,” he added.

Sunday Igboho said he had no idea whether the DSS raided his home with herbalists.

He also accused the DSS of fabricating the claim that he stockpiled arms and ammunition.

“That’s very far from the truth. How can I stockpile guns in my house? All those allegations are phantom and cooked up by the DSS just to implicate me for a planned or trumped-up criminal trial,” he said.
