I cheated to prove my manhood was still working, man tells court

A 42-year-old technician, Bello Abudu, told an Igando Customary Court in Lagos on Thursday that he committed adultery to show his wife that his manhood was still working.

The technician’s wife, Blessing Abudu, wants the court to dissolve the 12-year-old marriage on accusations of infidelity.

Mr Abudu said he decided to lay with another woman when his wife told him that his male sex organ would get stuck if he attempted to have sexual relation with another woman.

“After some months, I decided to do it again to prove her wrong, and the girl took in again.

“Since then, Blessing made the house unbearable for me by fighting me regularly. She caused the Police to arrest me and when I could no longer bear it, I packed out of the house,’’ he said.

The respondent said that his wife starves him of sex, claiming that sex gives her headache.

Blessing, 36, accused her husband of denying her sex.

“Bello told me that I am eating poison in his house, that I should pack out, else he will kill me or cause me to run mad,’’ she said.

President of the court, Adeniyi Koledoye, urged them to maintain peace and adjourned the case until July 25 for judgment.
