How LASU chaos happened – Poco Lee’s manager

Poco Lee’s manager Falaye Adedoyin has debunked reports of suspected cultists’ attack at the dancer’s homecoming party which took place on Thursday at the Lagos State University (LASU).

Singer Bella Shmurda and rapper Odumodubvck turned up at LASU to show support for Poco Lee who organised the concert.

However, reports emerged on Friday alleging that the show was disrupted and some artistes billed to perform were attacked.

Reacting to this on Friday, Adedoyin denied reports of any attack at the event, describing them as false.

He told BBC Pidgin that they followed all protocols before selling tickets to students. According to him, the chaos was caused by students who did not buy tickets for the show but attempted to force their way into the venue.

Adedoyin said, “We did not sell tickets at the venue of the event, we just confirmed the tickets of people that bought them before the show.

“We used the biggest hall in the school for the show, the hall can accommodate over 2500 to 3000 people and that was the amount of ticket we sold. We did not sell more than the hall can contain.”

Adedoyin further explained that the drama began when students at the event got angry that the organisers refused to sell tickets at the venue.

“We only allowed people that bought the tickets into the venue, some of the students forged tickets that were not from us. All was going well until around 4 pm when students started bringing fake tickets to enter the show venue,” he said.

Adedoyin added, “If you ask the artistes what happened, they will tell you that nobody was attacked. The video of Odumodublvk shared online is when he walked to his car because there was no space to park, he chose to jog to his car.

“Bella Shmurda had finished his performance when he entered his car and nobody touched him. He was stressed because he was tired after his performance.”
