A judge of the FCT High Court in Life Camp, Abuja has warned rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, over his absence in a N2 billion assault case and adjourned the matter to June 23, 2026.
At the resumed hearing on Thursday, counsel to the claimant Uchenna Ojembe told the court that the matter was for hearing and that the claimant, Levi Ogbogiri, popularly known as Kraziecent, who is the sole witness, was present and ready to proceed.
Ojembe, however, informed the court that defence counsel Taiwo Akinsulie had served him a letter seeking adjournment because he had travelled outside the court’s jurisdiction and would not return until May 31.
He said the defence requested that the matter be adjourned until June 3 or any other date in June to enable counsel attend the session.
Ojembe did not oppose the request but asked the court to grant it on strict terms. He also noted that the adjournment request was not from the substantive defence counsel on record but from a partner in his law firm.
He added that the case had been adjourned five times, with two of those at the instance of the defence.
According to him, other adjournments were due to renovation of the court and a bereavement on November 26, 2025.
In her ruling, Justice Adeyemi Ajayi said she had taken note of the submissions.
“By next adjourned date, if the defendant fails to appear before the court, it may attract necessary orders,” she held.
The judge then adjourned the case to June 23 for hearing.
Kraziecent had filed the suit against Odumodublvck, alleging that he was assaulted while taking pictures and videos at a public event in December 2024.
The musician and photographer claimed the incident caused emotional distress and that his iPhone 15 Pro Max was damaged.
The claimant is asking the court to order the ‘Declan Rice’ rapper to pay his medical expenses and issue a public apology on all his social media platforms and in two national newspapers, or pay N2 billion in damages among other reliefs.
