Fibroid survivor, Halima Abubakar, celebrates 33rd birthday

Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar, on Tuesday, uploaded beautiful pictures of herself to celebrate her 33rd birthday.

The actress, who almost lost her life to fibroid last year, thanked God for the gift of life considering her close she came with death.

“This indeed is a miracle. No one, no one has an idea of what I went through. But I shared a bit,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

The former exhibitionist prayed for her mother and the “eyes that love me, claiming “I have no haters. I really don’t keep things in my heart.”

In 2017, it was initially feared that Halima was battling with cancer as pictures of the actress looking emaciated with her head shaved clean surfaced on the internet.

It later emerged that she suffering from complications of a fibroid removal surgery she had earlier in the year.

Halima began her acting career in 2001 with a minor role in the movie titled Rejected. Her first lead role was in Gangster Paradise.

The Kano-born actress has starred in movie such as Slip of Fate, Tears of a Child, Secret Shadows, Gangster Paradise, Area Mama and Men in Love.
