Glo subscribers hit 50m after 1m new customers in October

Telecommunications firm, Globacom, has garnered over 1 million subscribers in one month.

The company added 1,044,322 new subscribers in October, to lead the gainer’s table.

Hence, its subscriber base has hit 50,255,796, compared to 49,211,474 in September.

With the latest development, Globacom has sustained its growth path in the month of September 2019 when it gained 2 million new subscribers in September 2019.

This is contained in the statistics for the four major operators in October which was recently released by telecoms industry regulator, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

MTN came second with 542,070 new subscribers, while Airtel came third with 172,221 additional customers.

Their customer bases at the end of October stood at 65,870,174 and 49,081,899 respectively.

However, 9mobile suffered continued drop in its subscriber base in the month under review having lost another 541,890 customers to drop to 14,792,206.
