Actress Genevieve Nnaji has posted photos from the screening of her latest film I Do Not Come To You By Chance at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF).
The movie star stormed the event in Lagos, with the film director and others on Thursday.
Photos and videos of the actress posing with her colleagues and many of her fans have been circulating the internet since Thursday night.
On Friday, the 44-year-old released the official photos from the screening which she posted on her Instagram account with the caption: ” Do Not Come To You By Chance. #afriff2023.”
Several celebrities like Iyabo Ojo, Dorathy Bachor, Mercy Eke, Destiny Etiko, Jide Awobona, Rachael Okonkwo, Mary Igwe, Judy Austin, Kunle Remi and Waje stormed the comment section of the post to react to the photos.
The film is an adaptation of Adaobi Nwaubani‘s award-winning 2009 novel with the same title.
The movie was directed by Ishaya Bako, the director of The Royal Hibiscus Hotel and Road To Yesterday.
Genevieve’s latest project first premiered in September at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Her hitherto low profile on social media had got fans worried about her state of mind.
The filmmaker, however, returned to social media in September after a long break to promote her new executive-produced movie, making it her first public appearance this year.
The new movie is co-produced by Chinny Carter and Chioma Onyenwe, while scripting was done by Chika Anadu and Bako.
