Four NEMA staff kidnapped in Rivers

Suspected gunmen have kidnapped four members of staff of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Abua-Odual local government area of Rivers State.

South South zonal coordinator of NEMA, Walson Branden, informed journalists of the incident on Wednesday.

Mr Branden said the victims were kidnapped on their way from an assignment.

The abducted NEMA staff had gone to inspect farmers who would be given aids through the National Emergency Agricultural Intervention Fund after being affected by flooding.

He also said one woman and three men made up the kidnapped persons while one other escaped with bullet wound.
