Actors Faithia Williams and Saidi Balogun have stirred reactions online after sharing a warm moment at the former’s movie premiere in Lagos.

The former couple attended at the premiere of Efunroye: The Unicorn, a historical biopic produced by Faithia on Sunday. Both actors appeared on stage alongside their son, Khalid, dressed in coordinated outfits.

In a moment that drew applause from guests, Faithia appreciated her ex-husband, her son and members of her team.

She thanked Saidi for his support, saying, “Saidi Balogun thank you for the support, thank your for the advice, and for everything you’ve been teaching me from day one. I truly appreciate it.”

The film tells the story of 19th century businesswoman and political figure Efunroye Tinubu and is scheduled for nationwide cinema release on May 1. It features actors including Odunlade Adekola, Kamo State, Femi Adebayo, Mercy Aigbe, Ibrahim Chatta and Femi Branch.

The reunion quickly went viral, with social media users commenting on the calm and respectful interaction between the two, who were married from 2000 until their separation in 2014.

A user, Man of Letters (#Letter_to_Jack), questioned the “ex” label, writing, “With everything you’re seeing in this video, you still believe he is her ‘ex’ husband?”

Another user, #linisexy88, wrote, “A king supporting a queen. Nollywood legends showing us that ‘Ex’ doesn’t have to mean ‘Enemy.’ Khalid looks so proud to be standing between two greats.”

#AdefolaluSunday added, “Please be bold to tell us the good news we all have been waiting to hear that you are back with your husband. This hide-seek game no good jare. You are better with Saheed Balogun.”

Offering a different view, #yuquas7 compared their relationship to a fictional pairing, writing, “When ‘marriage’ transforms into a business partnership. Reminds me of Frank and Claire Underwood in House of Cards.”

Others described the moment as emotional and nostalgic. #arike_20 wrote, “The original power couple of our childhood. Seeing them like this is so healing. It just shows that the settlement is deeper than what we see on camera.”

The reunion also brought back memories of Saidi Balogun’s earlier public support for Faithia during her mother’s burial rites in Lagos in March 2026.

He attended both the wake keep and the burial ceremony, standing with her during emotional moments and offering visible support throughout the events. He also publicly mourned her mother on social media, describing her as “a wonderful mother and a grandmother” and praying for her eternal rest.

Faithia and Saidi, who share two children, have remained publicly connected through family and professional engagements, with Saidi also featuring in the new film project.

While neither has indicated a romantic reconciliation, their continued public support for each other has drawn attention.
