Fani-Kayode’s daughter welcomes baby

Femi Fani-Kayode

Former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode on Thursday announced his daughter Cynthia had been delivered of a baby boy.

In an Instagram post, Mr Fani-Kayode shared a video of the baby with the face uncovered, a move away from the custom of many on social media.

The ex-minister said the mother and child are healthy.

“My beautiful daughter Cynthia gave birth to a bouncing baby boy today. I give thanks to God. I am so happy for her. Mother and son are doing very well. Blessed be the name of the Lord for yet another miracle and blessing. Glory Hallelujah!!!” he wrote.

It was not immediately clear who the mother of Cynthia is as Fani-Kayode has many children.

He has been married to four different women. His marriage to Saratu Atta lasted from 1987 to 1990. He married Yemisi Adeniji in 1991 and divorced her in 1995.

Regina, a Ghanaian by nationality, said she got married to Fani-Kayode based on Ghanaian customs in 1997 and they subsequently tied the knot at the Apapa Registry in Lagos in 2002. She has been with him to date.

The former minister’s marriage to ex-beauty queen Precious Chikwendu lasted from 2014 to 2020.
