Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has congratulated his wife, Hadiza; son, Bello; and Senator Uba Sani on the emergence of Liverpool as Premier League champions after a 30-year wait.
Mrs El-Rufai, her son and the federal lawmaker are Liverpool supporters.
Tweeting on Friday, Mr El-Rufai said the wait for 30 years was proof of their loyalty matched only by people like him who have supported Arsenal since 1969.
He wrote: “CONGRATULATIONS!! My congratulations to my son & life-long @LFC supporter, Bello @B_ELRUFAI, MyOga @hadizel & Sen Uba Sani @ubasanius. Waiting 30 years for this is proof of enduring loyalty, matched only by those of us that consistently supported @Arsenal since 1969.”
Liverpool emerged champions of England on Thursday night after Chelsea defeated Manchester City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
The Reds won the league with seven games to spare, a new record.
