Magic Carpet Studio and CEO of Temple Productions Ego Boyo have dropped the first teaser for forthcoming Africa’s first 2D animated film The Passport Of Mallam Ilia.
Ego Boyo made the announcement in an Instagram post on Monday.
“A Teaser from the extremely talented team at Magic Carpet Studios comes this gripping tale of Africa’s first indigenous 2D feature-length animated film,” she wrote.
Written in 1948 by the late Cyprian Ekwensi and published in 1960, The Passport of Mallam Ilia, follows the story of a man, Ilia, who seeks revenge for the death of his wife, Zarah, at the hands of Mallam Usman.
