Actress turned filmmaker Ego Boyo has celebrated attaining 50k followers on Instagram.
The 53-year-old on Friday expressed her gratitude for hitting a milestone figure on the platform.
She wrote: “I checked my profile this morning and saw that I’d just hit 50,000 followers, Goodness!. The number ’50’ stands for freedom and transformation, therefore I wish all 50k of you positive transformation in all aspects of your lives. Thank you 50,000 amazing people.”
Ego Boyo has been winning hearts since she starred as Anne Haastrup in the 90s soap opera Checkmate alongside Richard Mofe-Damijo, Francis Agu and others.
Married to oil industry heavyweight Mofe Boyo, the nature-loving actress is blessed with three kids.
Ego’s son Eyisan got married to Keji Belgore in Ilorin, Kwara State on Saturday, July 2.
The event was attended by celebrities and dignitaries such as the first lady of Kwara State, Folake Abdulrasaq, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s wife, Dolapo, former Kwara first lady Toyin Saraki, movie stars, Richard Mofe Damijo, Joke Silva, Rita Dominic and Kate Henshaw.
Her last movie production is The Ghost and the House of Truth directed by Akin Omotoso and released in 2019.
