Actress Etinosa Idemudia has cautioned people against sharing private messages of individuals after their death.
Speaking during a podcast, Etinosa criticised what she described as the growing habit of posting unreplied direct messages and emotional tributes only after someone has died, particularly by people who did not respond while the person was alive.
“All those people that post people’s DM when they are dead, if you post my DM, I’ll wake up, slap you and go back to the grave. Don’t try it,” she said.
Etinosa also used the moment to address movie producers she had previously reached out to for acting opportunities but never got a response from. According to her, they should not suddenly start posting her messages or claiming she once begged to be cast after she is gone.
“DM you didn’t reply. All the movie producers that I am telling I love your work, cast me in your film and you never answered me. Don’t come back to say ‘Oh and she said I should cast her’ after I am d+ad,” she added.
Etinosa Idemudia is an actress, filmmaker and content creator. She studied Computer Engineering at Covenant University and later moved into full time entertainment after working briefly in the oil and gas sector.
