Seriake Dickson’s photographer shot dead

Official photographer of Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State, Reginald Dei, has been killed at Oweikorogha, Southern Ijaw.

Reports say Mr Dei was allegedly shot by officials of the Joint Task Force (JTF) of Operation Delta Safe.

The JTF has, however, denied the allegations.

In a statement on Saturday, chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa, Moses Cleopas, said that the popular photographer was killed by men dressed in military uniform.

He added that a ward chairman of the PDP in the state, Seidougha Taribi, was also murdered by the gunmen.

Mr Cleopas said the two victims were killed in their houses as they waited for votes in their ward to be counted.
