Singer Davido has rejected a possible six-month jail sentence for socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest who was arraigned on Wednesday for alleged naira abuse.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) charged the nightlife entrepreneur with three counts bordering on abuse of naira by allegedly spraying and tampering with the naira at a social event, contrary to the provisions of the Central Bank Act of 2007.

He was alleged to have sprayed the naira on February 13, 2024, at Eko Hotel.

According to the EFCC, the businessman tampered with Nigerian currency in the denomination of N500 notes issued by the CBN by spraying the same for two hours.

The Instagram influencer pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted N10 million bail.
