Cubana Chief Priest confirms Davido’s performance at World Cup closing ceremony

Celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest has confirmed that pop star Davido will be performing at closing ceremony of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Cubana confirmed this in an Instagram post on Tuesday where he shared a throwback video of himself and Davido.

Captioning the post, he wrote: “FIFA World Cup 2022. Am So Excited For Africa Bestie Mi @davido FIFA OBO Is Coming, Joy Is Coming. It’s Time 4 Africal.”

Davido’s performance was also confirmed by Hong Kong businessman Stephen Hung in an Instagram post on December 8.

Sharing a picture of the singer, he wrote, “So happy my bro @davido confirmed he will perform at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony. Can’t wait to see him there.”

Davido was set to initially perform at the opening ceremony but could not make it due to the loss of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

The 30-year-old, who collaborated with Trinidad Cardona and Aisha on the World Cup soundtrack ‘Better Together’, will be performing at the closing of the tournament on December 18.
