Criminality: Plateau Speaker urges police to redouble efforts

The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Mr Abok Ayuba, has called on the police and other security agencies to intensify efforts on ending all forms of criminality in the state.

Ayuba made this call when the Commandant, Police Staff College Jos, Mr Sholla Daniel, visited him on Tuesday in Jos.

The speaker decried the spate of kidnapping, killings, cult activities, arm robbery, car snatching and other forms of crimes in the state.

He tasked the security agencies to end the menace and ensure the safety of lives and property in the state.

According to him, the state in recent times has been greeted with an increased rate of various crimes, so the police and other security agencies should intensify efforts on nipping these crimes in the bud.

He assured all security outfits in the state of the Assembly’s support and cooperation so as to make the state safe.

Earlier, the commandant said the visit was to get familiar with the House and brief members on the workings of the college.

He assured the speaker of the police determination to curtail all forms of criminal activities in the state.
