Blessing Egbe, the producer of wave-making Lekki Wives, has admitted that sex-for-roles remains a problem in Nollywood.

Blessing Egbe was speaking exclusively to eelive when she revealed an experience she had with “couch casting”.

“The first time it happened to me, I hit the man so hard that he could not believe his eyes. The Yeye marketer met me at a producer’s office and decided to try his bad luck.

“He surprisingly placed his hands around my shoulders and slowly made his way down my back side.

“As he did this, he voiced out loud in his igbotic accent ‘Nna, this tall slim gal will be good for our epic feem oh’.

“Anyway, what happened next is story for a short movie.  You will have to pay me to get that gist,” she said.

Blessing Egbe revealed that one of her daughter, Danielle is interested in working in the movie industry.

She discussed her new movie, Ten Virgins, at length, describing it as an ‘adaptation of the biblical parable of ten virgins.’

Blessing was born into family of eight in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

She attended the University of Calabar and graduated from its department of Theatre Arts in 2001.
