Senator Chimaroke Nnamani (PDP/Enugu east) has returned to Twitter after several weeks off, claiming his account was hacked.

“My Twitter account was hacked. Just regained access,” Nnamani tweeted on Wednesday.

The lawmaker has been trending for openly supporting the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu despite being a PDP member.

In another tweet, he said he was in the United States, calling on the FBI to arrest him if the bureau had anything against him.

Some of his critics accused him of going offline because of the allegations of money laundering against him.

Nnamani then addressed some of the claims, saying “Enugu State of 1999 to 2007 did not have 41.8m dollars to be stolen. I maintain residence in America and just came back after 5 weeks. FBI not looking for me. No assets of mine have ever been seized in the United States.”

He added that what his critics quote are complaints filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to the US Justice Department.
