Entertainer Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has weighed in on the controversy surrounding singer Innocent Idibia, aka 2Baba and his wife actress Annie Idibia, following the announcement of their separation.
Speaking in an interview with TVC on Thursday, Charly Boy adviced celebrities to keep their personal affairs out of the public eye.
The 73-year-old musician sympathised with the estranged couple but stressed the importance of maintaining privacy in relationships.
According to him, while social media has changed how people share their lives, individuals must learn to set boundaries.
“I feel sorry for 2Baba and Annie Idibia. It’s unfortunate. But my advice is simple—keep your business private,” he said.
Charly Boy, who has been married for over four decades, boasted that if he ever parted ways with his wife, the public would never know.
“I’ve had my share of quarrels, but we settle them privately. You don’t bring it to the public. If I stop living with my wife today, nobody will know because I won’t make noise about it,” he added.
