Singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has publicly celebrated his son Justin Idibia’s graduation hours after facing criticism over his absence at the ceremony.
Justin, whom the singer shares with Pero Adeniyi, graduated from a high school in London over the weekend.
Sharing photos from the event on Instagram, Pero Adeniyi wrote: “My heart is so full today as I celebrate my son, Justin, on his graduation from high school. Congratulations, Justin! We’re beyond proud of you and excited to watch you soar to even greater heights. The future is yours, and I know God has amazing things in store for you.”
The post sparked reactions online, with some social media users questioning why 2Baba was not seen at the graduation ceremony.
Amid the criticism, the singer broke his silence by sharing photos from the event on his Instagram Story on Monday and congratulating his son.
He wrote, “Congratulations son.”
The development comes amid major changes in 2Baba’s personal life. In January 2025, the singer announced that he and actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia had separated and that divorce proceedings had begun. He later confirmed his relationship with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru and publicly declared his intention to marry her. Reports later indicated that the couple held a private traditional wedding ceremony in 2025.
2Baba is a father of seven children from three women. He has three children with Pero Adeniyi, two sons with Sumbo Adeoye and two daughters, Isabella and Olivia, with Annie Macaulay-Idibia.
