Cardi B departs Ghana with bag full of controversies

American rapper, Cardi B, has departed Accra, Ghana after her time in the country which put non-music related issues in the limelight.

The former stripper performed at the second leg of the Livespot X Festival in Ghana on Sunday hours after the time scheduled for the concert.

Accra Sports Stadium, venue of the concert in Ghana, was reportedly half-full when Cardi B finally stepped on stage.

The rapper suffered food poisoning which formed part of the reason for the delay in her performance.

“I was in Ghana for less than 24 hours. Went thru a lil dilemma but I still had fun,” she wrote on Monday on Instagram.

Organisers of the event were said to have put together a meet-and-greet for Cardi B with fans, but the rapper said it was not part of the contract, leaving Ghanaian artistes who were invited waiting.

Unlike the concert in Nigeria, the Ghanaian edition was blighted with technical hitches.

Halfway into her performance, the stadium’s lights went off sending the crowd into panic.
