Businessman begs court for custody of his child

Court of law

A businessman Saleem Salahudeen, on Thursday, prayed to a Customary court in Nyanya, Abuja to grant him custody of his three-year-old baby between him and one Temitope Olajide.

The petitioner told the court that Temitope Olaide, who was his girlfriend, gave birth to a child for him in 2020.

“In 2020, she got pregnant and had a child for me. My parents and I have been taking care of the child, feeding and providing for all the baby’s needs,

“My girlfriend is running a business that involves her selling alcoholic drinks to touts and area boys. She takes the child along to her place of business, thereby exposing the child to an unsafe environment.

“It is on this account that I seek the custody of my child,” he said.

The presiding judge, Doocivir Yawe, adjourned the matter until March 15 for further hearing.
