President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the managing director of ThisDay newspapers, Eniola Bello, over the death of his wife, Helen Eniola-Bello.
Mrs Eniola-Bello passed on in London on Tuesday after a brief illness.
In a statement on Wednesday by presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, President Buhari said he joined family, friends and professional colleagues of the columnist in mourning the deceased, “whose motherly love and kindness will be sorely missed by the family.”
The president urged family and loved ones to find solace in God and the seeds of goodness and charity sown in many lives by Bello’s wife.
Buhari prayed that God grants her soul eternal rest and comfort her family.
The deceased’s husband was attending the 2019 International Press Institute (IPI) World Congress in Geneva, Switzerland when he was informed about his wife’s state of health.
