Singer Daniel Benson popularly known as BNXN has blamed negligence for the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of pop star Davido.

News about the tragic incident circulated on the internet on Monday October 31.

A source close to the family revealed that Ifeanyi drowned in a swimming pool at the family’s residence in Lagos.

Reacting to the shocking death in a post on Snapchat on Tuesday, BNXN also known as Buju said the death was due to negligence.

“Bro, the negligence was too crazy. I get chills thinking about it,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, the police have started interrogating the domestic staff who were present when the incident occurred.

Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin who spoke to reporters on Tuesday, said the command was questioning them to understand what really happened.

Benjamin said that all eight domestic workers employed by the singer are currently in police custody and are being interrogated.

He said: “Domestic staff at Davido’s home have been taken to the station to give their own account of what happened. I wouldn’t call that arrest yet.

“If after they all give their own account of what happened and after preliminary investigations, anyone of them is found culpable, the person will now be placed under arrest.

“Yes, the nanny is also with them. We are interviewing them separately to understand what happened. It is indeed a painful situation and we condole with the family.”
