Bimbo Oshin celebrates first birthday without husband in 22 years

Actress Bimbo Oshin has celebrated her first birthday without her husband Dudu Heritage in 22 years.

Dudu Heritage died in September 2021.

The actress, who turned 50 on Sunday, July 24, had a quiet birthday celebration with her family and loved ones.

Bimbo Oshin also got a surprise birthday cake from her colleague Muyiwa Ademola.

Muyiwa, better known as Authentic, posted a video of himself presenting the cake to Bimbo who got emotional and thanked him.

Captioning the video he uploaded on Instagram, Muyiwa wrote: “My intention wasn’t to surprise her but to show her love because she deserves it. Alas! She was beautifully amazed. Keep being adorable Abimbola. The world celebrates you and your 50th despite your wanting a quiet one. Long life and enviable happiness sis.”

Although the actress did not make any birthday post on her Instagram account, her colleagues and fans wished her a happy birthday in the comment section of her last post.

On Christmas Day last year, the Yoruba movie star noted that she was celebrating her first Christmas without her husband in 21 years.

Sharing a photo of herself and the deceased, she wrote: “First Christmas without you in 21 days my backbone continue to rest in the arms of your maker. Oko mi, we miss you.”

Born Ola Ibironke, Dudu Heritage slumped at the Ibadan Golf Club (IGC) around 8:30 pm on September 13, 2021, efforts to resuscitate him proved abortive. He was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

The captain of Ibadan Golf Club who was also a music promoter was laid to rest on October 15, at the Eternal Home Cemetery in Ibadan, Oyo State.
