Self-styled investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has revealed that the winner of the fourth season of the Big Brother Naija reality television show, Mercy Eke, had promised to throw her a 56th birthday party but may be unable to do so due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 55-year-old made this known on Instagram on Friday.

She wrote, “Look at the pureness of this young lady. She fascinates me. Though it may not happen this year due to the Pandemic @official_mercyeke promised to throw my 56th birthday this year #KemiOlunloyoAt56 and style me down with @swankyjerry…“

In a post she shared on Instagram in November 2019, the pharmacist denied reports that she had been paid by Mercy’s team to tarnish the image of fellow housemate, Tacha, with whom Mercy had a physical altercation in the Big Brother Naija house which led to Tacha’s disqualification from the show.

“I hear @real_mercyeke paid me to tarnish Tacha. 1st, I don’t tarnish people, I report about people. I don’t even know Mercy personally. 2nd, congrats to Mercy on winning #bbnaija2019 and all your success. She’s now a paid partner for Ciroc,” she wrote.
