Baba Suwe gave me my second movie role – Yomi Fash-Lanso

Actor Yomi Fash-Lanso has paid tribute to the late Baba Suwe, recollecting that the deceased gave him his second movie role in the his movie Ayedun.

The actor stated this in an Instagram post on Tuesday. While appreciating the late actor for his contribution to the entertainment, Yomi also prayed for the family of the deceased.

“You Were Celebrated When Alive In Many Places, Many Countries And Continents. You Won Globally, Winning Many Awards Home And Abroad Because You Were A Shining Star. You Represented Your Family Name And Origin So Well You Made Many Sons And Daughters Of Your Town So Proud They Beat Their Chests And Say I’m From IKORODU.

“And In Death, You’re Celebrated Egbon. This Tells Us The Living To Strife And Do Our Very Best Too In Making This Beautiful World More Of Laughter Than Cries. More Of Joy Than Sadness. More Of Positives Than Negatives. You Surely Gave Your All And Through Your Style Of Comedy And Entertainment Paved Way For Many Astounding Comedians Today.

“You Gave Me My Second Shot As A Lead Role Actor In Your Film “AYEDUN” ’96/97, And That Bonded Us Irrespective Of Differences, We Had. You Were Indeed A Great Man, Father And Mentor, Not Only To Your Immediate Family But All Actors.

“I Commiserate With Your Lovely Family And Pray That Allah Will Give Them The Fortitude To Bear Your Visible Absence And Hold Them Together In Great Unison,” he wrote.

Baba Suwe died on Monday November 22, 2021.

He will be buried on Thursday 25, 2021 as announced by the family.
