APC suspends Obaseki’s aide

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo has suspended Kaycee Osamwonyi, an aide of Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Mr Osamwonyi was suspended for allegedly engaging in acts of thuggery, hooliganism and causing factions within the party.

He was suspended by APC leaders in Ward six Uhunmwode Local Government Area.

Harrison Orobor moved the motion for his suspension and it was adopted by members present at the meeting.

A disciplinary committee was set up to look into the allegations against Kaycee and submit its report within two weeks.

Members of the disciplinary committee are Clifford Igbineweka, Saturday Enaruerue, Stanley Onaghise, Lucky Onobun and Iziegbe Airhienbuwa.

Osamwonyi did not respond to The Nation’s request for comments.
