Barely 12 hours after Nigeria’s Super Falcons were hammered 8-0 by France, triple heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua has sailed to Le Blues nation.

Valerie Gauvin struck thrice, Eugenie Le Sommer, Gaetane Thiney, Aminata Diallo and  Marie-Charlotte Leger notched one apiece as the European giants thrashed their African counterparts on Friday.

Thomas Dennerby ladies were taught hard footballing lessons by their hosts in Le Mans.

Nigerian-born British boxer, Joshua, couldn’t pick the worst time to visit.

The 28-year-old is currently on tour of Europe after confidently beating Joseph Parker to add the WBO belt to his growing collection.

He now needs to face American ace, Deontay Wilder, to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the world since Lennox Lewis.

And promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that talks have started between the two heavyweights.

Wilder, who boasts a record of 40-0, affirmed that he is willing to put his WBC belt on the line against Joshua.

Despite initial controversy, the American heavyweight is willing to agree on terms of a 60/40 purse and will fight in the UK.
