Alibaba challenges Anthony Joshua to boxing match

Veteran comedian, Alibaba, on Friday sent a message to British professional boxer, Anthony Joshua, challenging him to a boxing match.

In an Instagram post, the 53-year-old shared a picture of himself posing in a black short with a shirtless upper body. He, however, said he will be ready for the match in two years.

He captioned the picture, “@anthony_joshua … I am nearly ready. Give me 2 more years.”

Anthony Joshua was born in Watford, Hertfordshire, to Nigerian parents, Yeta, and Robert Joshua. Specifically, Joshua is of Yoruba ethnicity.

He grew up for some of his early years in Nigeria as a boarding school student. Following his parents’ divorce at age 12, he returned to the UK halfway through Year Seven to join Kings Langley Secondary School.

The 28-year-old, born Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua, made his professional boxing debut in 2013.

Anthony Joshua is set to defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) title against Russia’s Alexander Povetkin at Wembley on September 22.

He is the reigning WBA, International Boxing Federation (IBF) and  World Boxing Organization (WBO) champion.
