Fish out Ondo bank robbery suspects, Akeredolu tasks security agencies

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has tasked security agencies to apprehend the suspects involved in bank robbery incident on Monday in Idoani community, Ose LGA.

Seven people including a policeman died in the robbery attack on the only bank in the community.

Security operatives have said they have arrested a suspect in connection with the robbery incident.

However, in a condolence visit to Alani of Idoani, Oba Olufemi Olutoye, whose palace is near the attacked bank, Akeredolu represented by his deputy, Agboola Ajayi, described the incident as unfortunate and aksed that the perpetrators be arrested swiftly.

“We are glad that a suspect has been nabbed and I am very sure he will create a channel that will lead to the arrest of those criminals”, he said.

Akeredolu also implored Ondo residents to always assist the police and other security operatives with useful information in reducing crime in the state.

The monarch revealed that the suspects also invaded his compound, and damaged his door only to discover it was a waste of time.

He appealed to the state government to assist the bereaved in order to lessen the burden the incident had caused them.
