Singer Adekunle Gold has paid a surprise visit to Adebolu Adejobi, a fan living with cerebral palsy, days after his colleagues Mr Macaroni and Falz went to see the young man.
Nineteen-year-old Adejobi had in an interview with TikToker, Michael Spyder, revealed that he would be delighted to meet his favourite celebrities like Mr Macaroni, Falz, Adekunle Gold and comedian Pastor Remote, and singer Adekunle Gold.
He got the first of the surprise visits on New Year’s Day when Mr Macaroni and Falz paid a visit to him.
The activists said that the visit was inspired by the video of him expressing the desire to meet them someday. Adejobi was given gifts and cash money by the entertainers.
Days later, Adekunle Gold also paid a surprise visit to Adejobi’s family home in Lagos.
Videos capture the moment the singer arrived at Adejobi’s house with his team.
Adejobi was with a blindfold over his eyes when the singer entered the living room.
After removing the blindfold, the young man leaped and screamed for joy upon seeing Adekunle Gold in his house and gave him a big hug.
The ‘5 Star’ singer pledged to fund the fan’s education with the sum of N2 million, a promise which moved Adejobi to tears.
Adejobi is an advocate for children with or without disabilities.
He emerged as the overall best student in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) at Ajayi Crowther Memorial Senior Grammar School.
