Adekunle Gold’s sister, Adekunbi, was seen crying tears of joy in a video posted by her brother on Thursday as she saw posters promoting his show in London.

She marveled at his journey, on how he got to the big stage and went on to say, “Adekunle omo Ikotun ni London (child of Ikotun in London)” amidst tears of Joy.

Adekunle Gold is set to hold his About 30 concert in London on Friday, June 29. He will be performing with his band, the 79th Element.

Below her five things to know about Adekunbi:

  1. A graduate of Lagos State University

Adekunbi graduated from Lagos State University (LASU) in 2012 where she studied music.

2. One of three girls

Adekunbi is the first of three girls. She is usually described as the second mum because she tends to take care of those around her. The two other girls are Fadeke and the late Busayo.

3. She is a member of The 79th Element

Being a music graduate and one who sings very well, it is no surprise she is a member of her brother’s band, The 79th Element. She is the only female member of the band.

4. She likes Simi

Adekunbi likes Simi a lot as she has not hidden the fact that she approves of the singer’s relationship with her brother. She sent a goodwill message to Simi for her 30th birthday in April and was one of the guests at the singer’s exclusive birthday party.

5. She is quiet by nature

Adekunbi is not one to be overzealous or too loud. She does not take advantage of her brother’s fame and is rarely seen in the spotlight.
