Acting can’t pay my bills – Toyin Lawani

Celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani, has stated that acting cannot pay her bills.

The 38-year-old revealed this on Instagram on Wednesday, saying she passes on most of the offers she gets because acting to her was not financially rewarding as her other business ventures.

“…I get a lot of scripts but I pass on them, cause it’s very tasking and the money is not friendly when I can sit at my empire and make it in an hour,” she wrote.

People hv been saying Tiannah you should be acting movies & I’m like how much them wan pay me ? Being an actress is a full time job& it needs focus ,consistency, dedication & patience Etc ,before it starts paying off ,Alot of people think you have to be an actress to be known worldwide, that’s not true , I have shown you for years that being an entrepreneur can open a lot of doors for you,it opened a lot of doors for me too to be an actress if I wish , cause I’m The Star maker ⭐️ The image maker⭐️ And the Brain behind your favorite stars⭐️⭐️ I like to be behind the scene ,and I let my work do the talking on them, but Going into acting full time will be A huge distraction to my main calling , hv @tiannahsempirerealitytvshow already, I get a lot of scripts but I pass on them , cause it’s very tasking and the money is not friendly , when I can sit at my empire and make it in an hour🤦‍♀️ I’ve Done 3movies so far ,one coming out soon , the rest out,but they let me play my Diva self ,the real me in my element providing my services, watch seven and half date, I did a scene with mercy Johnson , which showcased many parts of my businesses , it’s on Netflix , I did one with @adakarl1 , did one with @toyin_abraham recently #faithofalakada , watch and enjoy them , I can’t afford to be somebody else , it’s like loosing my identity, lemme just be doing my thing like this , I don’t want to follow the bang wagon, By now The Government should be paying me for showcasing the Beauty of Nigerian locations through my yearly creative videos , cause they themself don’t even have time to make great videos to showcase this various locations in a beautiful way, I take my team , travel far with equipments,shoot the baddest videos on this various locations, pay Tru my nose, & drop d visuals on my birthdays, Nigeria is sleeping on what they hv, people msg me internationally daily asking for the name of the tourist site ,they want to visit it, I say nigeria ,they say hell no 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Erinjesha fall I showcased its beauty, Agogo Gardens for my intro video , botanical gardens for my main video , Nigeria is Blessed to have a ⭐️ like me forget , una go miss me cause holloywood don jack me ,so bye

The fashionista also suggested that the Nigerian government should pay her for helping to promote the ‘beauty’ of the country.

She boasted that Nigeria was blessed to have her and hinted at a move to Hollywood, saying: “Nigeria is blessed to have a ⭐️ like me. Forget, una go miss me cause Hollywood don jack me, so bye.”

Toyin Lawani will be making her Nollywood debut in Toyin Abraham’s new movie, Fate of Alakada: The Party Planner, which will be released in April.
