Access Bank speaks on fire incident, thanks UBA, Union Bank for assistance

Access Bank has confirmed that there was no human casualty in the fire incident which occurred on Wednesday at its branch on Adetokunbo Ademola Street in Victoria Island area of Lagos State.

In a Twitter thread, the bank urged costumers to make use of its digital banking channels or visit nearby branches.

“There has been a fire incident at our Adetokunbo Ademola branch this morning. Thankfully, no one was harmed,” the bank said.

“Our fire protocol has been activated and all personnel have been moved to safety.

“Cause of the fire was a diesel truck discharging fuel, we advise you to avoid that area.

“Here is a list of other nearby branches you can visit: Adeola Odeku Branch, Muri Okunola Branch, Ajose Adeogun Branch.

“Alternatively, please make use of our digital banking channels while you stay safe.”

Access Bank expressed its gratitude to organisations which helped in managing the situation – the Federal Fire Service, Chevron Nigeria Ltd, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Eko Hotels and Suites, UBA Fire Service and Union Bank.
