American golfer, Tiger Woods, has climbed to number 6 in the world ranking after his stunning comeback Masters win.

The 43-year-old returned to the top 10 for the first time since 2014 after his win at the Augusta National in Georgia.

Woods came back to win his fifth green jacket in Georgia having not held the lead after 54-holes.

Tiger was ranked outside the top 1,000 as at November 2017 while he navigated a comeback from his fourth back surgery but now has the top five spots firmly in his sights.

His historic feat is now being touted as arguably the greatest ever comeback in sport history.

Praises have poured in since then, with American president, Donald Trump, and his predecessor, Barack Obama leading the enconiums.

Dustin Johnson is the new number one, replacing Justin Rose — who missed the cut at the Masters — while Koepka, Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas round out the top five.
