As recording artiste Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe, better known as Wande Coal, clocks 31 on Tuesday, we dive into his discography to take a look at some of the tunes that still warms our hearts when we listen to them.

  1. Ololufe

‘Ololufe’ was Wande’s debut single from the Mo’ Hits All Stars collaborative album CV (Curriculum Vitae).  It has been described as one of the greatest love songs ever written by a Nigerian. It brought Wande Coal popularity and fame throughout the country.

This jam was produced by Don Jazzy when Wande was in Mo’Hits Records.  It was released in 2009 from his breakthrough album titled Mushin2Mo’Hits which was widely received across Nigeria, UK and the USA.

This was also released from the Mushin2 Mo’Hits album. The song was loved by all and sundry and dance steps emerged from the tune.

  1. Been Long You Saw Me (Featuring D’Banj)

Released in 2011 as a single, this jam was directed to fans who had waited for a while since the singer dropped his Mushin 2Mo’Hits album. Fans were thrilled to know their favourite musician was back on the music scene.

This song was also released in 2011. It was welcomed with open arms and the video just made audience love it more. A love song, Wande driving a fast car and wooing a beautiful lady, what was there not to love?

  1. Go Low

The song was a huge success in dance clubs and at parties. However, lots of controversies followed the song which was released in 2012 and the accompanying video. First, record producer, Shizzi claimed he was not given credit for the song which he helped produce, then, gospel singer KSB raised alarms when the video came out claiming it was inappropriate. The video was later banned by the NBC (National Broadcasting Commission) but that did not diminish the love it received and still receives till date.

Released on November, 2013, Wande Coal teamed up with Burna Boy to create this one. It was produced by LeriQ and became an anthem for men or women claiming class and style over one another.

  1. Ashimapeyin

The University of Lagos graduate released this  song as his first official single of the year 2015. It also happened to be the first official track off the album Wanted. It was produced by Sarz and went on become a popular street jam.

  1. Superwoman

The song was from the Wanted album. Wande made the song super relate-able as he explained that everyone had that one woman in their life that would ride or die with them. The song was dedicated to such women and everyone still moves when the song is played.
