The ‘Warri Boy’ from Ondo State started his career as Alibaba’s personal assistant.

AY is a very funny personality.  He is known for comedy shows like AY’s Crib, AY Live and Open Mic Challenge. Many of his live shows have been packaged into DVDs for home viewing, giving fans something to brighten their day.

AY has acted in movies like 30 Days in Atlanta, A Trip to Jamaica, The Wedding Party and Being Mrs Elliot. The first two were produced by him, with 30 Days in Atlanta breaking box office record in Nigeria. The Delta State University graduate is used to the camera and he seems to always enjoy himself anytime he is acting a movie. His movies are always very entertaining and educating.

  1. He is a CEO

The comedian is the chief executive officer of Corporate World Entertainment Nigeria. As an investor in stand-up comedy, he has influenced upcoming comedians through the Open Mic Challenge.

  1. He is a multiple award winner

The talented comedian has many awards to his name. Among his many laurels are Diamond Awards for Comedy, Teens Favourite, MBG Abuja Merit Awards, National Daily Awards, Arsenal Award for Excellence, Mode Men of the year Awards. He was made a UN Peace Ambassador in 2009 and won Nigerian Entertainment Awards in 2010.

  1. He has an adorable family

AY is married to Mabel and they have a daughter, Michelle, together. Despite reports that all was not well with the marriage; the Makuns are very much together.
