4 Nigerian celebrities obsessed with Premier League

Being an entertainer might be an awful difficult occupation at times and could prevent one from other fun stuff like football.

However, few Nigerian celebrities still make out time to follow the round leather game.

And they do so with much passion and enthusiasm.

Here are four of them who can’t just do without the Premier League.

4. Banky W

Popular singer, Banky W, is one whose obsession for the Premier League is simply unimaginable. The 35-year-old is a proud Arsenal fan and uses social networking service, Twitter, anytime the Gunners play. Stunned by Olivier Giroud’s cracker against Crystal Palace early in January, Mr Capable tweeted:

HKN Music boss, Davido, supports Arsenal’s London rivals, Chelsea. Unlike Banky, Davido known by the nickname Omo Baba Olowo rarely posts on social media platforms about the Blues. But the 24-year-old has already gone the extra mile by visiting Stamford Bridge in November and even accessing the club’s dressing room.

2. M.I Abaga

Rapper, M.I Abaga, is a die-hard supporter of Arsenal, no wonder the 35-year-old has weathered the storm and remained at Chocolate City. Just like many proud Gooners, M.I uses Twitter in aiming jibes at fans of other clubs especially when his team is doing well. This was what he had to say about Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.

On hearing Chelsea’s interest in Dimitri Payet, he gushed.

Nollywood queen, Uche Jombo, could be mistaken for an ex-international, soccer pundit or even administrator due to her unrivalled interest in the game. The veteran actress is a Red Devil and frequently tweets to her over 400,000 fans whenever Manchester United are in action.
