Yul Edochie defects to APGA after losing Anambra governorship election

Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has joined the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State.

The 35-year-old son of veteran actor, Pete Edochie, contested and lost the November 18 Anambra governorship on the platform of the Democratic Peoples Congress (DPC).

Having tasted defeat, the Compound Fools actor, his running mate in the election, Emeka Okonkwo, and other supporters on Thursday officially joined APGA.

On hand to welcome them were Governor Willie Obiano, Victor Umeh and Bianca Ojukwu.

“So yesterday my State Governor His Excellency Chief Dr. Willie Obiano (Akpokue Dike) congratulated me for being brave enough to run for Governor at 35yrs old, for running the race till the end and for being a worthy ambassador to Anambra/Nigerian youths. He officially welcomed me into the APGA family. (Nkea bu nke anyi),” Yul wrote on Instagram.

Obiano, the only APGA governor in Nigeria, recently called on fellow governors in the south-east to join his party or they will lose their seats in the 2019 general elections.
