Yoruba monarchs don’t care about people — Sunday Igboho

Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho has accused Yoruba monarchs and the government of being selfish as it concerns insecurity in the region.

Sunday Igboho stated this in an Instagram post on Tuesday in reaction to the abduction of a former aide of Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

The former aide Richard Omosehin was last Saturday abducted by six gunmen at his Igbekebo residence in Ese Odo Council area of Ondo. His abductors have asked for N100 million to release him.

Reacting to this, Sunday Igboho wrote from Benin Republic, “Omo Oduduwa!!! It’s already happening, no one is immune to the chaos created by the government!

“If we do not stand United and take actions now, it’ll become worse than this. These people are going into house to kill, kidnap and rape our women, sisters and children and we are helpless.

“All Yoruba monarchs, governments and others in the position to make changes are mute, they don’t care about us. Let us all join hands together and raise our voices.”

Sunday Igboho got national attention with his call for self-determination for the Yoruba over the attacks on the Yoruba by herders believed to be Fulani.

He added, “We want Yoruba nation, we want to be separated and have our own system of government so situations like this doesn’t happen, so our economy can be stabilised.

“Let us all join hands together against these termites eating deep into our states. Yoruba Nation now!!!!!!!
