Yoruba actor Ganiyu Oyeyemi popularly known as Ogunjimi, has died.
Fellow actor Kunle Afod announced his passing in an Instagram post on Friday.
“We tried our best but God loves you more.“May his soul rest in peace. Baba Ogunjinmi, RIP, Sun re oooo,” he wrote.
At the time of writing this report, the cause of death has not yet been ascertained.
However, in a video shared on TikTok by Princess Oloko, on July 3, 2023, the Osun-born actor revealed how he battled stroke and paralysis.
He said in Yoruba: “There was a time had stroke, and my limbs were paralysed. At that point, thought would never be successful. There was also another time had an accident and suffered internal injuries. However, God continued to uplift me.
“Many things have happened to me, and can only beg for God’s mercies. I then bought a land, but could not erect a building on it. But, I told my children that should be buried there. However, anybody that is led by God should assist me in building the house.”
