Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, was on Tuesday booed after a meeting with the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba Wabba and other affiliate unions.

The workers assembled at the IBB Boulevard leading to the Governor’s Office at Oke–Mosan, Abeokuta, and called Amosun names as he hurriedly drove off.

It was learnt that Amosun was given intel that the angry workers were marching towards the premises of the meeting, prompting him to adjourn the meeting swiftly.

Mr Wabba then spoke with the angry workers that the state NLC chaiman, Akeem Ambali, has been reinstated.

He also said the Ogun State Government had agreed to address issues of unremitted salary deduction, contributory pension funds, unpaid salaries and allowances of staff of Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu–Ijebu among others.

Amosun sacked Mr Ambali and 14 others on October 31 for alleged misconduct during the 2016 World Teachers Day celebration.
