Lauretta Onochie, social media aide of President Muhammdu Buhari, has commented on the iconic picture of Ebere Ihedioha hugging her husband, Emeka Ihedioha, with words of encouragement after his Supreme Court loss.

The apex court ruled against Mr Ihedioha on Tuesday, declaring that the certificate of return be withdrawn from him and a new one be issued to Hope Uzodinma.

Mrs Ihedioha then shared a picture on Twitter 24 hours later saying she had her husband’s back.

Commenting on the photograph on Friday, Mrs Onochie said women pick up the pieces ‘when men play dirty games’.

“When men play dirty games, it’s their women who pick up the pieces. Ebere Ihedioha, wife of Emeka Ihedioha, former Governor of Imo state, is in that situation now and doing just that. Awww, Bless,” she said.

Ihedioha said the Supreme Court’s judgement came as a ‘rude shock’ to him, adding that it was unfair.

Uzodinma, however, was sworn in on Wednesday and has assumed office.

The governor announced his first appointments on Friday.
