Yemi AladeApart from being a Nigerian singer with various hit singles, the Johnny hunter is also a trendsetter.

Born Yemi Eberechi Alade to a Yoruba father and an Igbo mother, she started her musical career as a part of a girl group named Noty Spices in 2005.

After winning the Peak Talent Show in 2009, the University of Lagos graduate released her first single ‘Fimisile’ but didn’t get the much needed attention until 2013 when her hit track ‘Johnny’ produced by Selebobo was leaked on the internet.

The dance number received major critical acclaim and became an instant smash hit, topping and dominating countless music charts across the continent.

She recently won the Best Female Act award at the 2015 MAMA Awards in South Africa.

The 26-year-old beauty was also nominated for the 2015 BET Awards for Best International Act Africa.

By influencing her fans through her unique choice of hair and Ankara styles, she has been tagged an African trendsetter.
