Comedienne and actress, Wofai Ifada, has tested negative to the coronavirus disease known as COVID-19.

She announced this in an Instagram post on Sunday.

There had been speculation that a male fan she took a picture with at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) had coronavirus.

Several calls and messages to her phone and on social media cause her to panic, prompting the coronavirus test.

“After staying isolated for 14 days without any symptoms of corona, I still went for a test just to confirm and the result came out negative,” she said.

Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, on Tuesday advised all who attended the AMVCA held on March 14 to embark on self-isolation due to the high risk of coronavirus infection after an unnamed attendee tested positive to the virus.

“I hereby notify you that all participants at the African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) held on 14th March at @EkoHotels may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases in Lagos and are most likely to have been exposed to #COVID19 Infection,” Abayomi tweeted.

It came after documentary producer, Ifeoma Chukwuogo, claimed that a celebrity that had symptoms of the virus attended the awards.
